The Pet Portrait Blog

This is a portrait that I have been meaning to post! It is a beautiful Cat Named “LouLou.” I just love his expression.

Wow!! It’s been exactly a year since my last post!! Needless to say, I have been busy… Will update soon with my latest portraits. I would like to announce a new addition to our family!!!!

My husband and I are now the proud parents of a wonderful miniature poodle, named “Cozi”. She is just now 9 weeks old and will be my assistant in the studio when she gets a little bit older.

These are three pets done in charcoal and on paper that is 12″X16″. I especially loved doing this portrait both the two dogs and the cat are all rescue pets. I have posted details of each individual pet down below.

I have just completed this portrait of four boston terriers. I love that each of these dogs show so much personality in their face. This one is done in oils and is 18X24. I have such a soft spot for these short nosed dogs!

I have just completed a portrait of a beautiful cat named “Mac.” The portrait was commissioned as a gift and is done in oils. His coloring and beautiful eyes made him a wonderful subject.

Work has kept me so busy lately that I have completely forgotten to blog! I will be updating the blog with finished portraits very soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to share a few photos I took this week of my amusing bichon, Marie, helping me take care of our garden.

It has been quite a while since my last post, as it is now already spring and I have been busy painting in the studio. I have just added a new album, composed of photos of the animals that I grew up with, that have enriched my life and made me the animal lover that I am today.

Wow! The holiday season is coming in so fast this year!!!  I have been working hard to finish my last few holiday commissions and will be posting them after the holidays ( I never like to ruin suprises!).  New York has had a much “snowier” December than last year which has made for good Christmas spirit.  Back to work!  Happy Holidays!

This is a portrait I completed in Charcoal to the size of 16X20. She is a great dane, still in the puppy stage. As this is one of my favorite breeds, I really enjoyed drawing her and it made for quite an elegant charcoal portrait.
